Recipe Notes:

  • These Brussels sprouts can be fried the night before and stored in the fridge, ready to be reheated the following day.
  • The sauce in this recipe can be halved if you wish, or you can leave it as is and use any remaining sauce for dipping, drizzling over the sprouts, or drizzling over rice, chicken, or shrimp.
  • Ensure that the air fryer basket is not overcrowded otherwise, the veggies will take longer to cook and won’t crisp. Cooking in batches is best.
  • It’s fine to coat the brussels sprouts before cooking and then add them to the air fryer, but I’ve found that this method results in soggier veggies. If you decide to do this, leave out the olive oil. Alternatively, you could also cook the brussels sprouts without any sauce and leave the sauce to be drizzled over after they’ve cooked completely.

Can I freeze leftover bang bang brussels sprouts?

You can freeze these air-fried brussels sprouts for up to 1 month, although they can turn soft and mushy once frozen and defrosted.

Is this recipe vegan?

This recipe includes regular mayonnaise, so it isn’t vegan, but you could use a vegan mayonnaise instead.

Are these sprouts super spicy?

No. The sauce gives the fried brussels sprouts a slight kick of spice, but it isn’t overwhelming. You can always reduce the amount of Sriracha sauce added to the bang bang sauce or increase it depending on your preferred heat.

What should I serve with my Air Fryer Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts?

These bang bang brussels sprouts make a delicious side dish to roast chicken, beef tenderloin, turkey, pork chops, and fish. For a vegetarian dish, add these brussels sprouts to rice and other roasted vegetables.

If you’re a lover of brussels sprouts like I am, enjoy them as a snack with extra sauce as a dipping sauce!
