- Since this Chex mix lasts so long, it’s a great snack to make ahead of time and store in the pantry for whenever you need a delicious snack or for those days when you need an energy boost while in the car or enjoying a Summer trail walk.
- You can make this Chex mix snack spicy by adding some hot sauce to the mixture.
- Feel free to add in some Goldfish crackers in place of the Cheez-its or as extras.
- Instead of using ranch seasoning, you can also use a combination of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and some brown sugar.
- If you’re hosting Game night, consider adding single servings into a paper bag to be served to your guests and friends on a tray. It’s a great way to allow people to enjoy their own snack as they move around.
Air Fryer Buffalo Chex Mix
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Chex, pretzels, cheez-its, and nuts.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the buffalo sauce, butter, and ranch. Pour the sauce over the Chex mix and stir until they are well coated.
- Pour the mixture into the air fryer’s basket and set it to 300°F for 14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Allow the mix to cool completely and enjoy.

- If you want a gluten-free Chex Mix snack, simply double the rice Chex, leave out the cheez-its, and use gluten-free pretzels. It’s as easy as that!

- When stored in an airtight container or Ziploc bag at room temperature, this air fryer buffalo Chex mix snack will last for up to 4-6 weeks!
CAN I MAKE BUFFALO CHEX MIX WITHOUT AN AIR FRYER?
- Absolutely! There’s definitely no reason for you to miss out on this ultra delicious buffalo Chex mix snack just because you don’t have an air fryer.
- Simply follow steps 1-2 of this recipe and bake in the oven at 350F for 15 minutes. Remove the mixture from the oven and stir well before returning to the oven for an additional 15 minutes. It’s also important to ensure that you spread the Chex mix out and don’t overcrowd the baking tray so that it crisps up well.
