The sweet fruitiness of the grape jelly blends perfectly with the tomato-ey tang of your favorite BBQ sauce, creating a sweet-sour-spicy fusion that takes plain old frozen meatballs to a whole new plane of deliciousness.

These Crockpot Grape Jelly Meatballs literally could not be any easier to make. Just take a bag of frozen meat balls, a jar of grape jelly, and a jar of BBQ sauce, and empty them all into your Crockpot. Stir it up, cook on high for three hours, and boom, delicious meatballs with that unexpected hint of fruity flavor. They’re all set for a crowd of party guests, or for your family dinner table.

What BBQ sauce do you recommend?

Well, I always say you can’t go wrong with Sweet Baby Ray’s. I like the original version, a classic tomato-based sauce that will blend beautifully with the grape jelly.

Do you consider this an appetizer or a main dish?

Either one! You can serve them up as a party appetizer to eat with toothpicks, or dish them out over rice with a sprinkling of green onions for a family dinner. Round out the meal with a simple dish of steamed veggies, or go for something fancier like my Smothered Bacon Green Bean Casserole.
