Can I use shredded cheese instead of string cheese?

  • Sure, it might not look as defining as the string cheese but it will work.Could I use frozen garlic bread and just add the string cheese? Yes! This is perfect if you have little ones around and then it becomes just a two-step process really.

Could I make this ahead of time?

  • I would say sort of- You could make the garlic bread but then I would do the string cheese before serving. Tip- Make sure the butter is softened and at room temperature. This will help spread the butter over the bread.
